Digital Social Networking Workshop in the Cordillera Mountains of the Philippines!!!!

It has been an incredible experience teaching these smart, young, talented, Indigenous Students of this small yet powerful town of Bontoc, Philippines. This week I wanted to focus on the importance of Restoration Architecture and the need to preserve buildings, especially in colonial and historical places. One historically important place for colonial architecture is my hometown of Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela. My name is Francisco Violich and I was born in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela which was originally named Angostura and was built on top of a large black granite formation carved out by the giant Orinoco River that winds around the city centre on three sides. It has a long history as a military stronghold for the Spaniards since the Orinoco River runs from the west of Venezuela all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.
