THE SACRED PIPE- A MODEL OF THE UNITY OF SCIENCE by Mato Gi, Brown Bear, Age 10

THE SACRED PIPE- A MODEL OF THE UNITY OF SCIENCE

The Sacred Pipe has many meanings. Some of the meanings are about the physical world, the world we can see and some are about the Spiritual World, the world we can't see. One of the important meanings of the Sacred Pipe is how everything is related to everything else, including all the branches of science.

The Stone Bowl represents the Mineral Kingdom.

The Wooden Stem represents the Plant Kingdom

The Eagle Feather or designs on the Sacred Pipe represent the Animal Kingdom

When you put the Sacred Pipe together and stand the Sacred Pipe, upright, with the bowl upward, it represents the Human Kingdom. We contain all Life.

This can be understood as an Aboriginal Model of the Unity of Science.

Now Tiger integrate the Sacred Pipe and the Unity of Science with the Spiritual World of Thought i.e. the Quantum Physics of our connection to the Great Spirit.

Deep thanks Tiger, Mato Gi, for this wise and thoughtful presentation! It is so important to share this perspective, these teachings and traditions, and I'll pass them along so that others may be illuminated by what you've offered. Peace.

Wow, as an educator of Native students, I can't wait to share this with our staff and parents board!!!  Tiger, great job of teaching us all!  At this time our children have so much wisdom to share.  I am grateful to listen to what a wise child has to say about himself and the world.

This was a wonderful presentation. I just returned from Sun Dance on the Rosebud and found this rewarding to see.
