Velma, I am trying to help my children learn their native culture.  We are looking for an Elder who can help us with our clan designation, but we have nobody near by who can help us.  Do you know a way of "finding" Elders from certain tribes?  I am Cherokee, but not enrolled.  Thank your for your time.  Cynthia

Hello, Velma, It is so wonderful to read your comment. Thank you for your welcome. In fact, I'm just here, a pretty new experience for me. Yet, I feel quite closely connected with you and other friends, cause we are all a part of the circle.

Mauri ora Velma, Peaceful is a thread to life which I hold dearly so I shall share a saying I have in my place of work and also at home to remind me...
PEACE
A Person Who Possesses
True Peace - Is Not One
Whose Life Is Without Problems & Turmoil
But Is
Rather A Person
Who Has Peace
In Spite Of It... Anon

Papatuanuku/Gaia/Mother Earth always keeps me grounded when retreating from our modern society humankind have created; I hope I have instilled in some of my future whakapapa the joy of simplicity and wonders of nature. A new techno buff as young as I am; so I trust this to finds you well and heartfelt greetings for the welcome in.

Dear Velma,
Thanks for your welcome to Four Worlds
The focus of our Indigene Community www.indigenecommunity.info group is on engaging human capacities and assets through 'indigenous' (Latin = 'self-generating') human and biosphere focused technologies. Our key focus is on establishing multihome (apartment & townhouse complex) intentional intergenerational cohousing as well as implementing comprehensive accounting for all contributions. Together in all our diversity, our welcome can be strong. The word 'Longhouse' from the Kanien'kehaka means 'place of the extended rafter' so as to imply rafters can always be added or 'place of the extended welcome'. Extending our welcome is humanity's gift. https://sites.google.com/site/indigenecommunity/relational-economy/extending-our-welcome-participatory-multi-home-cohousing My email is douglasf.jack@gmail.com
