Thanks, this makes me happy to see that not all our youth is blinded with TV, Cel phones, Computer Games and other superficial things. It's good to see Mother Earth starting to be taken care of. Peace, Love and Light. Mitakuye Oyasin. Darren.

As always, out of the mouths of babes. To hear a truth, there is no louder, clearer voice than that of a child. Who, with any heart, can tune out the plea's of a child? In fact, all children of the earth that are drumming, praying, chanting and petitioning for a healthy future for mother earth and all life upon her...are only requesting their inheritance. Greedy people will die greedy...empty shells without souls. They will not hear this child with any sympathy. It is up to us to make those people comply by continuing our drumming, praying, chanting and petitioning until they have no choice. Through peace and love, we will overcome all of their objections and reject all unhealthy compromises. Ironically, it will be for THEIR own good, as well....They just don't see it yet.

What an inspiration!  It gives us all great hope for the 7th generation to see and here her.  It is clear that if everyone stands together, united in a good way that good changes can happen and the pollution stopped.  I am very touched to see this young lady speak with such strength.  Thank you for sharing.

Ta'Kaiya Blaney is Sliammon First Nation, Coast Salish.  Her talents are enormous yet she remains a humble child, a child with a voice and words that supercedes so many of us adults.  O'Siem for posting this.

A song she co-wrote with Aileen De La Cruz, "Shallow Waters" is sung by her here:

E Hychka (Thank You), Granddaughter! (The word "Granddaughter" reflects our age difference and my pride, not blood relationship) Your voice is hope. The Orca will carry your words across the waters; other helpers will run with them over the land. The words are alive because they are spoken. Like tobacco, they reach Si Cel Ciem (Creator) and continue as wind and breath. Spiritual ears open; hearts beat in resonance. You and your community are strong and protected. I will drum and sing to honor your/our message at the Idle No More gathering on January 1 in San Diego. My friends who read this, will you drum with me?
