"This is not the end of the world, but the return of the ancestral wisdom." Journey into the heart of the Maya today and discover what their message is for the world. Contemporary society has developed a fascination with the Mayan Calendar and culture and has created a fear propaganda campaign surrounding their calendar, but we rarely hear the voice of the Maya themselves.

Through the eyes of Tzutujil Mayan Elder Pedro Cruz, we learn of the Indigenous struggle to retain the wisdom of the ancient Mayan teachings. With the arrival of the conquistadors, this ignited an era of destruction of Mayan language, culture, and their way of keeping time.

Today, there is a movement to bring the message of hope and unity that has been preserved in their teachings for generations to the greater world. We travel with a group of Maya who lead us through ceremonies that share on film for the first time the inner workings of their traditional teachings and the return of the rights to their culture

According to it's intergenerational history, this Sacred Staff was created by the Ancestors, with the vision and intention, to be a key part of creating a "Spiritual Hurricane" during the years before and after the end of the Mayan Calendar, December 21, 2012!
