I liked what one member said, "it is up to us to make the changes...how the government is helping us is really slowing us down."

Thank you very much for letting us know the dates, that is perfect, although the winds & rain are cleansing, the blessings of the sun are much appreciated too. Our family would be happy to have a heads up on being able to help with food offerings or any other help, if that is acceptable with the people. Nanaskomin! Russell

I am very very pleased that people like the video. My friend, Chief Desmond Peters, approached me a few months before the Gathering in Lillooet last year to help document the event. After meeting with the Lillooet Tribal Council, my involvement and the project were approved. Many professional film people from Vancouver volunteered to help. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey for all of us to have spoken so openly with people from all over the world, and it all happened right here in Lillooet.

The video and many photographs are now being used to help promote next years Gathering, to be held in Lillooet from May 31st to June 7th, 2010. Our video team is also working to raise the funds that would allow us to edit a one hour documentary from the more than 25 hours of footage that was filmed. Interviews, ceremonies, dance and music with Shaman, Healers, and Elders from all over the world were recorded and wait to be shared with the people who couldn't be there.

Great to see this. I sure will share this message. Can those fine peoples can be contacted in some way? Can you send them warm greetings from Zürich, Switzerland?

This was such a wonderful gathering!! So many great presenters, ceremonies, visiting & feasting. We were all looked after so well by the St'at'mic people, I believe there were many prayers sent for their protection during the fires that came later in the summer. Patiently waiting to here the dates for 2010. Kininiskomatin! Russell
