What Is Most Important Spiritually? The Past, Present or Future?

Dear Relatives,

This is a statement of my grandmother Ella Deloria, regarding history, which is well worth contemplating.

All that which lies hidden in the remote past is interesting, to be sure, but not so important as the present and the future. The vital concern is not where a People or a person came from, physically, but where they are going, spiritually." ~Ella Deloria, Ihanktonwan Dakota

Grandmother Ella was a student, along with Margaret Mead and others, of Dr. Franz Boaz, at Columbia University. Dr Boaz is called the “Father of Modern Anthropology”.
