Passing of a great leader

Dear Family, Richard died about 2:00 p.m. Jan 15th . I will relay more information as it comes. For now, the best we can do is send our loving prayers to his spirit and to his family members. A coal will be placed in the Altar for his spirit to be guided home tonight in the Inipi Ceremony here just as he taught us. Our prayers will lift him and his family up to the loving arms of the Great Mystery. Mitakuye Oyasin

My Family, there are MANY traveling great distances to be at this occasion .  Please I ask for you to include them in your prayers for they're safe travels to and from and that all they need will be provided them !  Thank You ~

JUST IN :
Chief Richard's body will be received Thursday by 4:00...the viewing will begin at 4:30 in Porcupine, South Dakota at the Day School. The burial will be on Saturday beginning at 10am at the Swallow Cemetery on the Sundance grounds.
