I was asked to write about someone I felt compassionate about. I choose my father of course. The professor thought it would be a good idea to write in first person so here it is! My first week in Bangkok!

I did it! I made it through my first week in Thailand on my own. I have traveled with my father since I was a little girl and I can remember him telling me when I was about five years old, "Ampaowin (my Dakota name), I can give you all types of material gifts but the greatest gift in life I can give you is experience." Well I just arrived in Bangkok, Thailand where I have the privilege and honor to be working with a magnificent group of individuals on human rights work. I just recently graduated from U.C.
