I'm super excited and grateful to be collaborating with the Emberá of the Río Jacqué area to begin instruction in Emberá in their communities. Starting in February of 2018, Profesora Elsa Carpio will move to the village of Valle Alegre to teach up to 60 community members of all ages. This will light a spark of language rejuvenation in the area, which has been identified by the Emberá for many years as an area poor in culture due to language loss. Elsa's expertise and commitment to her people makes all this possible, and I am privileged to work with her. If you'd like to know more, please visit onecommonheart.org/our-school.
