In a few words, please tell us why you would like to join our community:
II am an advocate for decolonizing dominant processes which: hurt people and our mother, and prevent Indigenous people from healing, strengthening, teaching and leading. I write grants, helping in a group of healers and helpers in BC to access funding, write grants for an artist to access funding, made change to the forms and processes which Indigenous people with disabilities are served in Urban centers, served Indigenous people in the justice system to have their needs fully met, I have a bachelor in social work, which was a very expensive, colonial lesson in common sense. I want to listen and share teachings of our ancestors, grandmothers grandfathers, listen together to what mother earth is teaching us, learn and help one another strengthen through these teachings. I learn to keep helping others, myself and mother earth release, cleanse, strengthen walk together to return to the teachings of our ancestors, to heal, to teach and to listen to each other. Speak more so voices of Indigenous families, communities and leaders strengthen.
