The picture 'just holding hands and praying' is a reference to the Ghostdance movement that was misunderstood by so many and was misrepresented by news writers of the day.  There was much evidence of fear and mistrust generated by sensationalistic reporting of this sacred practice - one can only imagine it must have been a surprise to those who participated in this peaceful circle of prayer, that there were those who thought they must have been holding guns and preparing for war, hence the title, 'just holding hands and praying'.

One has to wonder at the broader lessons this holds for us as part of the human race, how much fear and mistrust can be generated when we simply do not have enough information to have a clear vision or take the time to gain an understanding of our neighbor.

Thank you for asking.

This picture 'just holding hands and praying' with a traditional true circle, few participants today know how to make such a circle spontaneously coming from the inner geometry of each person attuned to the whole through the eyes. The real prayer is that; it is such a pleasure to be part of such grace.   Can you tell me more about the origins of this picture?
