Gabriel Dumont Canadian Metis Hero Native American Earrings

Description: Gabriel Dumont earrings with Eagle feathers measures 2.50 inches long including feathers by 1.25 inch wide. They are extremely light weight and can be worn even through the night without discomfort. Made from hand crafted hard acrylic and edged in gold leaf with surgical steel ear wires.

History: I believe Gabriel Dumont was a Hero of epic proportions. What is known of his qualities are too numerous to list, but a few of them are that he was a leader who demonstrated loyalty, who was brave and calm in the face of adversity, a champion of aboriginal rights, a voice of wise council, and a hero to the Canadian Metis. It is an honor to depict him in my art.
Inspiration: I have always believed that real heroes seldom get the acknowledgement they deserve. It is my intent to pay respect to these heroes by depicting then in my art.
Artist: Paula Bidwell of Native Talisman Art is an American Indian artist, jeweler and author. She is also considered an Indigenous Healer and spent many years on the reservation learning traditional healing and ceremony. She combines being an artist and indigenous healer into her art. Paula believes strongly that we are all related and there is very little separation between us. Her art resonates with all cultures and peoples.
