Information

Walking the Red Road

The Red Road is a long winding road that began in the stars, spilled onto the mountain tops, was carried in the snow to the streams, to the rivers, to the ocean. It covers the whole world, and keeps winding around the Indigenous.

Walking The Red Road

I walk the red road by first asking permission of the First People of Turtle Island where ever I maybe. I love the earth and I am listening to the wisdom of the elders.

Mother Earth is not a resource, but rather the source of life itself.

Lonny is right Ilene! I am in the health profession and Hippaa really has made a difference in this issue!

Hippaa is very strict and will make those peoples lives miserable in the medical profession if they are reported

What do you think about tribal members tampering with Indian Health Services confidential patient files. I just found out, I am a victum of such gross behavior, even have names of who read my file. Two suspects with names were given to me from a professional at the Indian clinic, and this is a small village. Do they not know I have a law degree. HELLO,,,,,not standing by and allowing this to continue to be a problem in Indian country. Anyone want to share your thoughts, lets hear them.

Never having experienced abuse in my life, I have no concept of what it feels like but I have witnessed the affects it has caused to those who have been abused. I have experienced intense anger toward some one or ones. The only way I was able to over come anger was to pray that I would be able to release anger, knowing anger only destroys me; Also I pray for the one or ones that have caused me to feel angry, that they will be brought out of the darkness of ignorance of what they are doing . I pray that bitterness will no longer be a part of me and that they and I may heal. It has worked for me.

to suffer any kind of abuse whether it is neglect, being beaten, being made to feel unimportant or being sexually abused it can cause many different emotions and lack of self esteem. Naturally sometimes there is Anger. I have dealt with this much in my life. I have found that writing in a notebook and saying what ever I want however i want and then ripping up the pages is very helpful.
Also getting physical excercise heals body mind and spirit. And on a lighter note watching Kung Fu movies i sgreat therapy for me anyway.
