Comment by WinterStar ManyRoots on May 23, 2015 at 8:26pm: I claim ALL my roots; how can anyone walk with only some of their roots? We'd all be walking around like "side-hill galoots"--oh, wait--some are Doing that!

My ancestors came from many geographic locations, cultures, and migrated world-wide, a few times. Their water runs in me, too; their waters remember those places, people and times, bringing those forward in time and place, to me.

This life is again my responsibility to do all I am able to do, help heal what needs healed, teach what needs taught, speak what needs spoken, hear what needs listened to; lifting Spirits, we create.

Who, what, else could I be having been born on Turtle Island 65 years ago and my ancestor first arrived in the north east in 1631 as an indentured servant. Before that they lived nearly 600 years in England and previous to that in Normandy having started out in Denmark in the 9th century. I have never known the land to not be calling me to her. She has always called me her own. My blood line may not be as rooted in North America as indigenous people, still 400 years of deriving life from this land and sensing her spirit makes me one as a white son.
