Walking the Red Road

Information

Walking the Red Road

The Red Road is a long winding road that began in the stars, spilled onto the mountain tops, was carried in the snow to the streams, to the rivers, to the ocean. It covers the whole world, and keeps winding around the Indigenous.

Walking The Red Road

I walk the red road by first asking permission of the First People of Turtle Island where ever I maybe. I love the earth and I am listening to the wisdom of the elders.

Mother Earth is not a resource, but rather the source of life itself.

"THE ANCIENT ONE'S, OUR ANCESTORS!"

Though they have gone . . .
There memories linger . . .
With so much love and aloha . . .
The Ancient One's, Our Ancestors!

Time may pass of forgotten yesterdays . . .
But the memories of those who cared . . .
Linger through out our families for them . . .
The Ancient One's, Our Ancestors!

Their struggles were hard . . .
As they toiled laborously on their lands of long ago . . .
Fished in the deep lakes . . .
Hunted in the prestine forest for food . . .
This was their journey to care for the loved ones . . .
The Ancient One's, Our Ancestors!

They were the beginning for all of us . . .
Without them we would not be . . .
For their history has a magic knowledge . . .
Without limits or bounds, but a great deal of love . . .
As long as we don't judge them on how they lived . . .
The Ancient One's, Our Ancestors!

May they rest knowing . . .
They are loved by us all . . .
Our beloved Kupuna's (Old Ones) . . .
"The Ancient One's, Our Ancestors!"

I wrote this back in 2005 for my family . . . changed some of the words to fit this council. I believe that it was meant to be shared here!

Peace, joy, kindness, and love!
