Eduen - Putting U in the middle of Eden

Dome it! is actually part of the Eduen Federation - a collection of sustainable companies, technologies, individuals and innovations working together under one umbrella. Eduen - Putting U in the middle of Eden.

The idea is to build experiential, ecological teaching villages around the world. Each village will have some of the same components like dome/gardens and waste mangement facillities, but they will differ depending on which services each location can bare. Eduen has a buffet of alternative health and energy choices to consider when community planning.

Here is the initial vision for the first 33 acre Eduen slated for Gresham, Oregon.

We have two Russell C's now. Welcome Mr. Cadotte! I have some state-of-the-art building materials and designs that I think will perfectly fit your vision. The creator is a Transylvania man here in the states trying to bring these amazing technologies from Europe. His website is www.apexconsys.com. I can introduce you if you like. I also know the owner of Pacific Domes that does shelter domes like the one you are talking about. Hope that helps. Be blessed.

I hate fireworks. All I can think about is the birds and bugs and other terrified wildlife, and how much pollution we explode into the atmosphere each 4th of July. But I have to admit that watching my 6 yr-old son marvel at the power and splendor of the fireworks display was a precious mommy moment I will cherish. Please forgive me GAIA. I will make it up to you buy building dome/gardens all over this sacred planet.

Happy Independece Day. Independence Day - independence from oil, independence from hate, independence from the grid - dependence on the love and support of one another. Namaste.

Dome it! has acguired two new managers to help us park our life-giving dome gardens on school grounds around the world. Retired corporate manager Pat Goldstone is taking over as liason to the school district and city managers. Michael Ferrill is our new social networking/e-commerce lead. Our ever-faithful webmaster, Don Hunt will begin building us a Second Life dome/garden complex for virtual tours. In order to transform the food supply for school children worldwide we need lots of help. Won't you join us?

Thank you Carol for posting this great video!

As some of you know I have been working to learn about intentional community and I am happy to announce that on the 7th of July there will be a new web site about community which will be a forum for people interested in all aspects of intentional community. The project is a project of The American Association for the Furtherance of Community based in Seattle.

I have been absent for a while but I am now back with you perhaps with less intensity now because I am involved in community work here where I feel I can make the most difference. I hope you are also involved in your own communities. This is a place to share what we learn but it can not replace active work toward change. If we are not actively involved we must ask ourselves why not? If not me who? If not now when?

Love,
Russ

Is this world protected?
Agribusiness is fossil fuel intensive dependent. Watching this program I learned that tilling the soil is akin to stripping the skin off a human. Pretty drastic when you think about it. After all this method has been handed down for years. How could we know better? Yet I knew something was amiss when driving pass the cattle stock yards void of grass. The stench is unbearable. What does it take to keep grass alive underfoot not 3 varieties but a multitude. Bees no longer sustainable due to years of petrochemical fertilizers are warning us. Not only will the home garden necessitate survival but a whole new way of eating. Makes me wonder why the crop circles are formed in grain acreages.
