VISION/MISSION

Our mission is to develop a digital youth council that generates a community of dedicated young people from across the world, who share a responsibility for a common vision of hope in creating a world capable of change, that feel a part of a movement they themselves can mobilize, and eliminates the feeling of isolation and resignation by providing the members with an open healing digital space to share their cultures, individualities, and gifts.

Do “We keep us safe”? Notes on Action Security & Some Resources

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for sharing your words with everyone Tim. Franco and I are in the process of trying to get things started with the DYC and if you know of any young people who share the same vision please ask them to join our group. We are hoping to really get this started in the next few weeks and anyone that would like to help us would be greatly appreciated!

Greetings Council Members:
It's encouraging to see a forum which envisions a digital youth council. I have been blessed to be able to work for youth during my short career: in treatment, prevention and education settings.

Youth are the future and all to often society shortchanges them, or otherwise allows them to become victimized, or to become a number. More important, they really are the future and that future can be positive or negative, but it is real.

Having worked primarily with at-risk youth, I am still amazed at their insights and uses of technology. They tend to take this for granted and really don't accept the potential opportunities open to them.

That's what makes this forum so valuable for them. They can explore the potential opportunities in a safe forum, and one they can call their own. I am looking forward to this as it unfolds.
