You are warmly invited to a two-day conference focused on how Indigenous Peoples can utilize digital technologies to safely preserve and share their stories, develop their communities, and take coordinated actions on critical economic, social, environmental, cultural, healing and human rights challenges.

This event is being hosted by Four Worlds International Institute and Chairman Phil Lane Jr. and is part of the Certiport PATHWAYS conference. Participation includes an evening visit and Global Webinar with Chickasaw Nation Astronaut, Commander John Bennett Herrington. Workshop presenters include global leaders in Social Networking, Digital Media, and Open Source Technologies.

The Certiport PATHWAYS conference offers a unique opportunity to address the concept of Digital Inclusion through open discussion, the sharing of best practices, collaborating with like-minded peers, connecting with thought leaders, and celebrating the successes of others.

The growing gap in digital literacy of Indigenous Peoples worldwide remains a critical challenge, as well as a unique opportunity. This gap includes digital literacy, participatory media, social networking, as well as, effective Internet access. The sessions will focus on how best to transcend that digital divide to empower Indigenous Peoples with the knowledge and skills they need to participate in global issues as well as to build capacity within their own communities.

The two-day program costs $115.00 Canadian or $100.00 US and will take place at the Toronto Hilton. Meals are not included and alternative, less-expensive lodging information is available upon request.
