Comment by Susan George on August 30, 2010 at 9:43am: Hi Ilene! We, my partner John and I, went to the water blessing ceremony and the closing ceremony on Sunday! One of the grandmothers' was not feeling well because of the altitude, so the ceremony was delayed a few hours...we were there 8am, ceremony began 1030am! The hosts were new to us, so John and I had a wonderful time meeting new friends and neighbors and eating a lovely breakfast together outside next to the Crystal River! I helped serve the elders and grandmothers inside! The ceremony was awesome, sooo beautiful and powerful! So glad to have been blessed with this experience and had reconnected as well with a few friends I had not seen in years! Please tell me about you and the Elder Confederated Tribes of Siletz!
