Wanting to reach out...
Hi All,
Well I just arrived in Bangkok, Thailand where I have the privilege and honor to be working with a magnificent group of individuals on human rights work. I just recently graduated from U.C. Berkeley in Ethnic Studies and Native American Studies and it feels really great to be applying what I have learned. So many people in this world are struggling tremendously economically, physically and spiritually. I am hoping by trying to reach out and connect with people, especially young people we might be able to make a difference. Currently my significant other, Franco Violich and I are developing a digital youth council so young people can get involved. We are still in the developmental stages but I am hoping we will have our core developmental staff in a few months. It appears that people are beginning to realize that open source networking can impact a large number of people at once. Alright, well I will also begin to start video blogging as well. My plan is to promote participitory media by implementing it in my everyday life!

Congratulations for all that you are doing. I would like to contact you with the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU), that has special programs for youth. Every 2 years, within the worldwide Telecom Conference, they organize a special Youth Conference.
I have requested incorporation into your Digital Youth Council, at the FWII site, so that I can see how to contribute more towards your cause with the youth networking.
