Comment by Billy Howell-Sinnard on June 26, 2010 at 2:15pm: I think so many people, whether Christians, New Agers, or whatever religion or spiritual tradition, look at prophecies literally rather than as parables and spiritual meanings clothed in metaphorical and sensate images. Sure, there are probably aspects that are literal because they are revealed in the world of the peoples they come from and have historical reference points, but the essence is spiritual in understanding. This Mayan shaman's wisdom throws much needed light upon this issue.
