It will take a lot to bring things back to a natural balance. Some might say it will never happen. I am an optimist and believe it can.
I am dismayed that the U.S. National Parks are being considered to be opened to hunt wolves recently begun to be established in some national parks, notably Wyoming.

Anyone reading this can write them to protest this. I pray they will stop this nonsense and work to restore the balance with our four-legged relatives.
If you wish, please feel free to modify the email letter I sent to them with your own embellishments of good ideas. Perhaps we can see this policy changed for the betterment of all.

To Whom It May Concern:
It has taken many years to attempt to redress the many wrongs done by the dominant culture over the past 4 centuries in these great United States. Among them the decimation in the 1800's and early 1900's of many species and many peoples.
If anything should be gathered from this, it is that we have a moral obligation to set these things right and work to restore the natural balance in the interest of all the great peoples of this great nation and among these, the balance of nature. Without the wolf, all other creatures cannot live in balance.
For the sake of future generations, let us work to restore that balance of nature.
Historically, many great Americans have sought to protect our wilderness, among them President Theodore Roosevelt and others from then on. I humbly ask in the names of our forefathers that you who wield the power to effect change and a permanency that this and future generations can employ in the protections of these and other animals and plant lives and waters for the sakes of our children's children's children and beyond.
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter and trusting in your knowledge and wisdom that you know this is right.
