I came across this article this morning and it pertains to the development of a "safer" clean up material for nuclear waste. The details are lacking as might be expected, but it makes me wonder if it really renders the nuclear material this stuff picks up safe and no longer reactive. I doubt it, but there is no way to refute the findings. Perhaps one of you is capable of understanding the chemistry in this study.
