2015- Indigenous Prophecies, the Ancient of Days and Humanities Future !

Very Beloved Friends and Relatives,

As always, It is my prayer that you and your beloved ones are in the very best of health and happiness and that you are looking forward to the unfolding of 2015, with great hope, faith, strength and courage!  The continuing, emerging global challenges for change were clearly demonstrated to us in 2014. 

(1) Environmental destruction is continuing to increase throughout Mother Earth,  Along with this increasing destruction, Indigenous peoples are rising up, with growing numbers of strong Allies to Protect and Restore the Sacred in unprecedented, unified, action! There is a  growing human understanding that until there is a dramatic change in our Human Families actions towards our sacred Mother Earth, humanity’s immediate future will be filled with ever deepening pain and suffering!

In 1969, during the early years of Humanities  “new” ecological consciousness, my Grandfather Vine Deloria Sr. had a conversation with an old friend on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Always wanting to understand new English words, his old friend asked my grandfather to explain to him a new English word "ecology" he was hearing. 

“Well” my grandfather said, “you know, Tahanshi, my beloved cousin, we now have these places of the Whiteman’s education where you can go and learn to read and study books. After you learn how to read these books you learn how to make symbols that explain what you have read about. Finally, you learn to talk about what you have learned to read and write about!

This is how many young people of today learn about life.  Some people learn this way for many, many years.  After they have read enough books, written about what they have read about and talked about what they have written about, they are given a piece of paper that say’s they are a Doctor or a Wise Person of Life. 

These Doctors and Wise People of Life then get jobs where they earn a lot of money, so they can read, write, and  talk some  more.  They have  have invented machines that can look at things that are very small and make them look big. There are other machines they have invented that can look at things far away and make them look close. 

They even put different parts of Mother Earth together in containers and shake them and pour them back and forth so they can find out more about the truths of Mother Earth.  Anyway, Tahanshi, they have spent a lot of time and money and studied Mother Earth for many, many years. From all this time, money and work they have made a new discovery.  They found out that everything is interrelated.  They found out that when you pollute the air which all living things breathe and pollute the water which all living things drink, you pollute all living things.

"What do you think about that, Tahanshi, ” My grandfather asked?

My Grandfather’s cousin smiled knowingly and shook his head.  “I was wondering when they would get around to this understanding of Life!  Just look at what we do to our beloved Mother Earth.  We cut her hair where it should not be cut and rip up her skin where it should not be ripped up, and then we drill holes inside her and suck all of her blood out and put thingsi nside of her and blow her bones up.”

This wise elder then looked deeply into the eyes of my grandfather, shook his finger and said, “And what would happen if you did that to your mother?  She would die!  And this is exactly what is going to happen to all of us if we do not learn to respect and understand the Spirit and Sacred Teachings of our Mother.”

(2) Along with the dramatic increase in environmental destruction, natural disasters are synergistically and simultaneously increasing everywhere on Mother Earth.  These natural disasters include; earth quakes, droughts, floods, hurricanes, dramatic weather changes, incurable diseases, air, soil and water pollution, tornadoes, insect infestations, and the continuing destruction of the ozone layer and polar ice caps! Yet, there are still members of our Human Family that continue to insist that human Climate Change does not exsist!

(3)The world’s population is increasing by more than 130,000,000 human beings every year.  In fact, if every human being who now lives on Mother Earth were able to experience the average economic status found in middle income homes in Canada and the US, we would need three more entire planets. Soon our Human Family will reach more than 10 Million human beings. With the growing extremes of wealth and poverty the Human Family is coming closer and closer to a world-wide global conflict over food and water!

Until we thoroughly understand the true meaning of respect for all life, the sacred relationship between women and men, and the spiritual purpose of our physical existence, we will continue to move towards worldwide disaster. This will happen much sooner than we expect!

(4)Global economic competition is increasing with every passing day! The current world economic system is spinning out of control despite the best efforts of our nation states to stabilize a system that no longer serves the needs of the human family.  Instead of sovereignty, in its truest meaning, financial institutions of this world are manipulating and controlling the economic and social destiny of the Human Family for selfish purposes.

 Global economic markets are increasingly being de-stabilized by financial speculators whose primary motive is the the unquenchable thirst for material riches, at whatever the cost to future generations. Though hidden at this time, this greed will be fully exposed as we move into the “Shift of the Ages!” This organic change in the consciousness of the Human Family has long been prophesized by the Ancient Ones and The Ancient of Days!

More economic theories and external controls will not solve this deepening crisis.  Only when our hearts experience the divine reality that there is only one Human Family, one Human Race, and that all Mother Earth is the common spiritual heritage of all beings, will we be able to develop a global economic system that is life preserving and life sustaining.  As a wise Elder once told me, “Whenever we make economic gain on the weakness of others or unfairly exploit others for our own selfish purposes, we will pay a very high price.  In essence, the hurt of one is the hurt of all, and the honor of one is the honor of all.” It’s only a matter of time when global economic convulsions will impact every nation on Mother Earth.

(5)  The overall social and cultural disintegration of the Human Family and their communities and cultures are increasing. This includes, divorce, child sexual abuse, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, family violence, abuse of women, gangs, violence, violent crimes, suicide and other distinct signs of the spiritual sickness consuming many members of the Human Family are as clear as the midday sun.

On the otherhand there are growing principle-centered movements of members of the Human Family that are rising to a new spiritual, consiousness, strength and vision that transcends the negativity of today! Movements that are destined as little streams to become roaring rivers and eventually a surging ocean that will ultimately cleanse the heartbreak and spiritual sickness of the Human Family.

Only when we are able to understand that the "Hurt of One is the Hurt of All"  and embrace each other and become fully awsre that we are members of One Human Family will we have the everlasting spiritual foundation for rebuilding our communities and the world. The Ancient of Day’s has called the emergence of this new World Civilization, as the “Day that will not be followed by night!”

As one of my grandfathers said to me, “You know grandson, the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, has given all people wisdom.  To every living being he has given something special.  Some people receive their knowledge and understanding through books.  In your life grandson, you too must read and study every good book that you can read!  But always remember to take with you on your spiritual journey only those things that bring more unity within yourself and others, that bring goodness and understanding and help us to serve one another in better ways. 

Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit, has also given our Indigenous Peoples, and all other Human Beings who live close to Mother Earth, knowledge and wisdom  through dreams, visions, fasting, prayer, and the ability to see the lessons the Creator has put in every part of creation. Just look at those trees standing over there; the alder tree does not tell the pine tree to move over; the pine tree does not tell the fir tree to move over; each tree stands together in unity, with their mouth pressed toward the breast of the same Mother Earth, refreshed by the same breeze, warmed by the same sun, with their arms upraised in prayer and thanksgiving, protecting one another.  If we are to have peace in the world, we too must learn to live and be like those trees.

"Look", my beloved grandson, "at the beautiful teachings the Creator has put in that little stream.  Feel the gentle water and see how gently and lovingly it touches your hands.  This gentle water travels through deserts and mountains and many places, but it never turns its back on anyone or anything.  Even though it's loving taste gives life to all living things, it is very humble, and always seeks the very lowest spot.  But the spirit of water, also, has great faith, power and patience.  Even if a great mountain stands in its path, it keeps moving and moving until finally that mountain is washed into the ocean and is no more.  These are spiritual gifts and capacities that the Creator has given each one of us. If we are to be happy within ourselves, with one another, and fulfill the Sacred Profecies we must always do the best we can to develop these sacred spiritual qualities and capacities.”

(5)     As the old, outworn and dying materialistic order becomes more unstable, some governments, in a foolish effort to try and control the social and political disintegration process will increasingly violate human rights and create conflicts between others to try and protect themselves! As these abuses and injustices increase, an ever greater number of human beings will react to them with greater unrest and violence! These misled movements for Social  Justice and Freedom and, at times, acts of increasing terror and violence will not only be against governments. There will also be greater and greater conflict created between ethnic, religious and racial groups, as well. 

The spiritual reality that must be realized is that the Old World Order based in greed, materialism and economic elitism is no longer able to meet the needs of the growing Spiritual Consciousness of the Peoples of Mother Earth.  Only by providing positive alternatives to the destructive and inharmonious patterns of living will we rebuild our Families, Communities and Nations.

 Only  unconditional love and forgiveness for ourselves and others we will  heal the age old fear, revenge,  mistrust, greed, selfishness and hatred that is destroying the innermost heart of the human family.  External control, War, Terrorism and the Repression of the Human Spirit will not end the increasing devastation of our worldwide social order.  Only self discipline and penetrating vision in the service of the Creator, others and ourselves, will enable us to be victorious over all the abuse of the Human Spirit that surrounds and is within every Human Being and every Human Community. This spiritual sickness is destined to increase over the next coming generations. The death cries of an old, outworn Global Civilization will be intense, but for those who are listening, feeling and seeing with spiritual ears, hearts and eyes the birth pangs of a New World Civilization will only continue to increase with every passing day!

(7)  As many governments become more rigid, abusive and uncompromising in a last ditch effort to save the predestined disintegration  of an  Old World Order, terrorism and random acts of violence against individuals and society will increase dramatically. Despite vast amounts of money that are destined to be spent in a War against Terrorism the economic and political fortunes of the East and the West will continue to diminish! Their diplomacy to resolve the greatest of humanities crises and treats of war will prove to be impotent!

   This movement of disintegration and adversarial movements toward social justice will continue until the ancient teachings found at the heart of all living cultures and spiritual traditions that teach us how to live in harmony and balance with all life are once again alive.

 We have a critical decision before us.  Will we choose to walk the path of hatred, disunity and revenge or will we choose to walk the path of healing, reconciliation and forgiveness?  Each path has clear consequences.

 As the spiritual greatness of our Indigenous Peoples and our age-old realization of the Prior Unity and Oneness of the Human Family returns with greater and greater strength, it is clear to see that we are choosing the sacred path of healing, reconciliation and forgiveness, the Red Road of love, forgiveness and healing , long foretold by the Ancient Ones and the Ancient of Days!.

Not only is each one of these seven challenges before us  monumental in themselves, but it is very clear to see that we are approaching a series of global catastrophes as the inevitable crossroads  they are destined to meet is coming rapidly into view.  It will take bold, courageous, unified and selfless action to mediate the depth and degree of global destruction that each of and our Beloved Ones are facing! The choice to do so is ours, and that decision is ultimately a spiritual one. We will enter the Day without night! That is assured! The choice in each of our hands is how severe the global birth pains will be in the birthing a New World Civilization, the predestined Shift of the Ages! 

The increasing global environmental disintegration (with increasing Indigenous led opposition) and natural Disasters,(completely  unforeseen calamities to many who experience them!)  the growing instability and eventual collapse of a corrupt and injust global economic system, the increase in the extremes of wealth and poverty, the unravelling of humanities social and cultural fabric, deeping  ethic and inter-religious strife, the growing impotence and gridlock of outworn political systems that are increasing unable to meet humanities basic physical needs , the dynamically increasing social movements for global and national political, social and economic change, accompanied by the growing spiritual conscientiousness, as well as, the new scientific discoveries and innovations of the Human Family, were clear to see  in 2011.This will all continue to increase in 2012, sometimes when and where we least expect!

Without question there is a tempest, unprecedented in its violence, unpredictable in its course, catastrophic in its immediate effects, unimaginably glorious in its ultimate consequences,  presently sweeping the face of the earth. Its driving power is remorselessly gaining in range and momentum. Its cleansing force, however much undetected and misunderstood, is increasing with every passing day.

As we can clearly see, Humanity, gripped in the clutches of its devastating power, is smitten by the evidences of its resistless fury. It can neither perceive its origin, nor probe its significance, nor discern its outcome.

Bewildered, agonized and helpless, it watches this great and mighty wind of the Creator invading the remotest and fairest regions of the earth, rocking its foundations, deranging its equilibrium, sundering its nations, disrupting the homes of its peoples, wasting its cities, pulling down its bulwarks, uprooting its institutions, dimming its light, and harrowing up the souls of its inhabitants.

Certainly, there is no lack of recognition by national and international leaders of the world-wide character of these challenges, which is self-evident in the mounting issues that confront them daily. And there are accumulating studies and solutions proposed by many concerned and enlightened groups, as well as,  by agencies of the United Nations, to remove any possibility of ignorance as to the challenging requirements to be met.

There is, however, from my perspective, a paralysis of will to make the enviable decisions and changes needed to positively and constructively move forward ; it is this paralysis of will that must be carefully examined and resolutely dealt with. This paralysis is rooted in a deep-seated conviction of the inevitable adversarial nature of humankind, which has led to the reluctance to entertain the possibility of subordinating national self-interest to the needed requirements of unified global actions and solutions, of any form, and an unwillingness to face, courageously, the far-reaching implications of establishing a united world authority.

This paralysis is also traceable to the incapacity of uninformed masses of human beings who speak different languages and have been denied basic, universal education, and who are, thus, unable to articulate their desire for a world in which they can live in peace, harmony and prosperity with all members of the Human Family.The primary question to be resolved is how the present world, with its entrenched patterns of conflict, can change to a world in which harmony and co-operation will prevail. In essence, the establishment of a new world civilization.

This is what I would like to address, as we all step into 2012, by drawing on the best spiritual and prophetic sources that I know from Indigenous Prophecies, the Ancient of Days and Family.

The Divine Source of this long-promised and awaited spiritual transformation of the consciousness of the Human Family, by Spiritual Teachers and Faith Traditions everywhere on Mother Earth,  will be come clearer and clearer over the coming days, months and years to each of us, in our own way and at our own appointed time. The only prerequisite, for our full success in this journey, is our full commitment to the unfettered and independent investigation of the truth for our own selves.  This means the fundamental obligation of each human being to acquire knowledge and understanding with their " own eyes and not through the eyes of others!"

The New World Civilization, that Indigenous and other related prophecies speak of is not to confused, even remotely, with the various new world orders that are fearfully alluded to by various contending sources, whether it be a new world order where the extremely wealthy or a secret elite enslave most of humanity, for their own selfish and greedy purposes, or a new world order where everyone is forced to look, act and think the same, or a new world order dominated by any one nation state or a new world order created by an Anti-Christ prior to an Armageddon.

This  New World Civilization, whose advent was foretold by our Indigenous Peoples the Ancient of Days and Family, including the 2012  Mayan prophecies, The Reunion of the Condor and the Eagle, the Eighth Council Fire, the Return of the White Buffalo, the Prophecies of Black Elk , Deganiwida, Quetzalcoatl, Sweet Medicine, Handsome Lake, the Hopi`s, and many others,  are firmly and unshakably rooted in the spiritual understanding and consciousness of the Oneness and Prior Unity of the Human Family.

From this spiritual understanding and consciousness naturally unfolds the realization of the Equality of Men and Women, the Balancing of the Extremes of Wealth and Poverty, the Elimination of All Prejudices, the Unity of  Science and Spirituality,  Universal Education, the Independent Investigation of Truth, Unity in Diversity  and a New World Civilization where the voices, the wisdom and  vision of Indigenous Peoples are justly and respectfully represented.

We know from teachings of all these prophecies that a New World Civilization can only be founded on an unshakable consciousness of the Oneness of Humankind, a spiritual truth which all the human sciences confirm. Anthropology, physiology, and psychology recognize only One Human Race, although infinitely varied in the secondary aspects of life.

The full recognition of this fundamental truth requires the abandonment of all prejudice -- prejudice of every kind -- race, class, sexual orientation, colour, creed, nation, sex, degree of material civilization, everything which enables people to consider themselves superior to others. This is a great spiritual challenge for all of us.

Yet, the acceptance of the oneness of humanity is the first fundamental prerequisite for the reorganization and administration of the world as one country, the home of humankind. Universal acceptance of this spiritual principle is essential to any successful attempt to establish world peace. It should therefore be universally proclaimed, taught in schools, and constantly asserted in every nation as preparation for the organic change in the structure of society which it implies.

From my perspective, the recognition of the Oneness of Humankind calls for no less than the reconstruction and the demilitarization of the whole world -- a world organically unified in all the essential aspects of its life, its political machinery, its spiritual aspiration, its trade and finance, its script and language, and yet infinite in the diversity of the national characteristics of its federated units. This will take some faith, vision,patience and time.

The implementation of these fair-reaching measures were shared in prophecies, that extend far beyond 2012 or even 2020, more than 150 years ago by the Ancient of Days and others. In essence, these prophecies said, “The time must come when the imperative necessity for the holding of a vast, an all-embracing assemblage of human beings will be universally realized. The rulers and leaders of the earth need to attend it, and, participate in its deliberations. They must consider such ways and means as will lay the foundations of the world’s Most Great Peace among all members of the Human Family.”

The unity of the human race, as envisioned by these prophecies, that were given when our Indigenous ancestors still rode free on the high plains of North America, clearly outline the establishment of a world commonwealth in which all nations, races, creeds and classes are closely and permanently united, and in which the autonomy of its state members and the personal freedom and initiative of the individuals that compose them are definitely and completely safeguarded.

This commonwealth, as visualized, will consist of a world legislature, whose members will, as the trustees of the whole of humankind, ultimately control the entire resources of all the component nations, and will enact such laws as shall be required to regulate the life, satisfy the needs and adjust the relationships of all members of the Human Family in a sustainable and harmonious manner.

A world executive, backed by an international force, will carry out the decisions arrived at, and apply the laws enacted by, this world legislature, and will safeguard the organic unity of the whole commonwealth.

A world tribunal will adjudicate and deliver its compulsory and final verdict in all and any disputes that may arise between the various elements constituting this universal system.

These prophecies said that a mechanism of world inter-communication would be devised, embracing all of Mother Earth, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity.

That a world metropolis will act as the nerve center of this new world civilization, the focus towards which the unifying forces of life will converge and from which its energizing influences will radiate.

A world language will either be invented or chosen from among the existing languages and will be taught in the schools of all the federated nations as an auxiliary to their mother tongue.

A world script, a world literature, a uniform and universal system of currency, of weights and measures, will simplify and facilitate intercourse and understanding among the nations and peoples of the Human Family.

In such a world society, science and spirituality, the two most potent forces in human life, will be reconciled, will co-operate, and will harmoniously develop.

The press will, under such a system, while giving full scope to the expression of the diversified views and convictions of humanity, cease to be manipulated by vested interests, whether private or public, and will be liberated from the influence of contending governments and peoples.

The economic resources of the world will be organized, its sources of raw materials will be sustainability tapped and fully utilized without waste, its markets will be coordinated and developed, and the distribution of its products and services will be equitably regulated.

National rivalries, hatreds, and intrigues will cease, and racial animosity and prejudice will be replaced by racial amity, understanding and co-operation.

The causes of religious strife will be permanently removed, economic barriers and restrictions will be completely abolished, and the inordinate distinction between classes will be obliterated.

Destitution on the one hand, and gross accumulation of ownership on the other, will disappear.

The enormous energy dissipated and wasted on war, whether economic or political, will be consecrated to extend the range of human inventions and technological developments, to the increase of the productivity of humankind, to the extermination of disease, to the extension of scientific research, to the raising of the standard of physical health, to the sharpening and refinement of the human brain, to the sustainable development of the unused and unsuspected resources of the Mother Earth, to the prolongation of human life, and to the furtherance of any other agency that can stimulate the intellectual, the moral, the cultural, the artistic and spiritual life of the entire human race.

A world federal system, ruling the whole earth and exercising unchallenged authority over its unimaginably vast resources, blending and embodying the ideals of both the East and the West, liberated from the curse of war and its miseries, and focused on the sustainable and harmonious development of all the available sources of energy on the surface of Mother Earth(On the Surface!), a system in which Force is made the servant of Justice, whose life is sustained by its universal recognition of one Creator and by its allegiance to one common, never ending Revelation — such is the goal towards which humanity, impelled by the unifying forces of life, from my perspective, is undeniably and swiftly moving.

A difficult challenge? Yes! But what is the alternative?

With this understanding and vision, we must remember, though the path that the Creator has traced for us seems, at times, lost in the threatening shadows that are now enveloping a stricken humanity, the unfailing light that the Everywhere Spirit is continuously shining  upon us is of such brightness, that no earthly darkness can ever eclipse its splendour.

Though we are small in numbers, and circumscribed as yet in our experiences, powers, and resources, the Divine Force which energizes our mission is limitless in its range and incalculable in its potency.

Though the enemies, which every acceleration in the progress of our unified work must raise up, be fierce, numerous, and unrelenting, yet the invisible Spiritual Hosts which, if we persevere, will, as promised, rush forth to our aid and in the end, enable us to fully vanquish any hopes of our destruction and annihilate the forces of disunity.

Though the ultimate blessings that will crown the consummation of our ultimate victory, be undoubted, and the Divine promises given to us are firm and irrevocable, yet the measure of the goodly reward, which every one of us is to reap, will depend on the extent to which our daily exertions will have contributed to the expansion of the mission at hand and the hastening of its triumph.

Though the task be long and arduous, yet the prize which the All-Bountiful Bestower has chosen to confer upon us is of such preciousness that neither tongue nor pen can befittingly appraise it.

Toward this ultimate vision and the  fulfillment of the prophecies of our Indigenous Peoples, the Ancient of Days and Family, may each of us be fully assured, no matter what may happen in this temporal, plane of existence, that we will be and are always together, both in this world and the spiritual worlds, yet to come.

As always, it is my prayer that you and your beloved ones are in the very best of health and happiness and that 2012 will be our best and most joyful year ever!
