I ttraveled over 100 miles yesteday on the water. The color was reddish, like maron in many palces, lots of foam on the water and the foam was reddish in color. The people I work for still say its not from oil spill but I have never sseen this phnominum out here in over the 40 years I have fished the area. I was ssstarting to think maybe they were right but after yesterday I believe I am doing the right thing in not taking people fishing. I maybe be wring here or even getting folks made at me but in 2 or 4 years if everyone gets cancer of the liver or pancreas or something at least I will know I never took the hance with thier life. I hope I am wrong but it sure looks like a lot of chemicals in the water. I am tired and I ach all over still, I am up in th emiddle of the night again, not postive whats upp withme, hoping its just oldinjuries. I have to take the coast guard out in a few more hours to look for more signs of oil related things. I sure wish I could sleep longer than 2 hours.

I am suppose to have 4 days off the the oil spill so I went to the coast to the locale cosino for a night. Well, I got my mind off of things for a night but it was not long after I checked in my room I was asked to return to work for another mission. I got permission to stay on vacation though, sure hope I do not get fired for this. Well, when I woke up today me and Tina went to look at the beach. As we walked down the beach in Biloxi, Miss. we saw a lady and her 4 kids swimming in the water. I asked the lady if she knew that all the bown patty looking things she was laying on was oil, I asked her if she knew about the reddfish colored disbersments all in the water her kids were swimming in. This lady told us she drove from too far not to let her kids swimm in the water, she drove from New Mexico. The lady said that if I thought this loioked bad she said out in the water the whole bottom is covered with these oil pattys. Well folks, its July 4th weekened and in the 30 plus miles of beach we covered we only saw about 10 poeple in the water. There was many workers in tyveck suits cleaning up though. What have we done to our earth??omg!!!!! This was the first time I first hand witnessed the beaches of the gulf coast and I am so so sad. Now I guess its back to the Lousiana marsg and Sounds tommororw as I am told so m uch oil just came into my town yesterday. This is so so messed up people. I am always told to look at my part in things, well my part is I use oil and I do not like to pay alot for it. Our world has changed forever, kids will never know what we knew.
