Don't give up

As I have mentioned I work with youth. Many times we wonder as youth workers whether what we say and do for the kids we work with is enough and how much of an impact we are having. Do those seeds take root in the lives of those we touch when seemingly the youth isn't making progress? I received a wonderful update from a young man whom I had worked with for a number of years and although he seemed to drift for a time and has moved out of our province he wrote me to update me on where he is in… Continue

Love, Light and Joy

Say It

Say It as a witness
Say It in your walk
Say It in your touch
Say It in your look
Say It in your dreams
Say It in your heart
Say It to yourself
Say It to your neighbor
Say It to your children
Say It to your ancestors
Say It to your Creator
Say It in the gracious spirit of love to all of us as Family

A Sacred Offering

Blessed are the persecutors they have lit a fire in my heart.

Blessed are they who tear your image and curse it for you.

They come sweeping in with scythes to glean impurities.

Blessed are the tormentors they have touched through to my soul

Beloved Peacemaker Mother until we have our Father Creator in our hearts

We are homeless wandering in the landscapes of the minds of the… Continue

Spirit Journey

I was invited by a Cree Chief to a Treaty 6 -8 meeting. Afterwards we drove to his reserve where I stayed making friends with his wife. I scrubbed their house walls and floor with plenty of time on my hands. He told me of a sweat lodge and gave me tobacco wrapped in red cloth then sent me on my way. A kindly man and woman were raising their grand daughter a precocious child with fetal alcohol syndrome. The named her White Buffalo Calf Woman a… Continue

Poetry

The power of poetry is profound. Statements such as “I Sing the Body Electric” by Whitman and the end times statements proclaimed in “Fire and Ice” by Frost are wonderful examples. Each reaches for a transferal of their deeply felt understandings of the world to the body of mankind.

The stirring effect of poetry evokes in each of us a unique response characterized by our worldly experience of connected experiences. These attempts at verbalization of spiritual matters often fall short… Continue

Some More

I have felt the electric power of the sky two times. The first was when I was a boy about 10 years old. A friend and I went outside during a thunder storm. The rain was pouring off the roof of a nearby house. I went to the house to hold back the flow coming down a rainspout.

A nearby strike sent me on my back. I was knocked down and lucky to be alive. Sheepishly, I got up and ran back into my friends house. The power of the strike was huge and coursed through my body. I had new… Continue

on the other side of the viel,

for the first time I went to the other side, and saw my ancestors, and was welcome with open arms, but it was not my time, so I returned to finish what I have to do here first, I was at peace and did not want to return,

Freedom and Jeff

Freedom and Jeff

Freedom and I have been together 10 years this summer. She came in as a baby in 1998 with two broken wings. Her left wing doesn't open all the way even after surgery, it was broken in 4 places. She's my baby.

When Freedom came in she could not stand and both wings were broken. She was emaciated and covered in lice. We made the decision to give her a chance at life, so I took her to the vets office. From… Continue

Spirit and Seeing

The first out of body experience that I remember was amazing. I was still young and learning things. It just happened naturally. I found myself floating above my body while in bed. I was in a crouched position thinking if I went up any higher I would hit my head.

Next I thought how do I move? With that I moved forward by way of will. I began cruising around the inside of my house. First slowly than as a test I would go fast. It struck me that here was proof of the immortality of the… Continue

Social Evolution

Slowly, so slowly we are accepting that there is no separation between life. The four colors of humanity are integral to the health of one another. Only since the rising power of the Catholic Church took hold 2000 years ago did we begin to accept the hierarchy of control. Catholicism was and is primarily an instrument of social control, not one of spirituality. Through contact with different cultures and their beliefs, I have learned to be color blind. It is not the color of a person's skin… Continue

cleansing

Fall is here and its cold and rainy outside. I like the rain as its cleansing so much of the negativity that we have around us. I have noticed it lifting with good communication and letting things go that I cannot fix. I am letting things flow and letting things go. Life is good for the most part, and when you don't focus on what is wrong things tend to improve around you. There is nothing wrong in my view about letting stuff go by venting on a blog, a journal, to each other and so on. It is… Continue

Light and Dark

Blackness beckons
It's cloak of invisibility a temptress.
It's cool touch sending an involuntary shiver
Like a lovers touch.

Relying on the senses.
Smelling the forest.
Feeling the grass underfoot cool and damp, the branches reaching out.
Tasting the mist in the air.

Walk through the darkness of night
To appreciate the light without blindness.

The Moon in your Heart Prayers for love now

Medicine People of all Cultures and Colors, Light Workers, Prayer Workers, Energy Healers, Reiki Masters etc: Help us do our unseen work and doing what your gifts are, by holding the moon in your heart.... A season of change

I wish for you never to be turned away from a conversation or a discussion because you have a different way of making sense. I wish for you to accept that there are people who cling to an unknown way foreign to yours. I want to offer the embrace of love for you who have felt rejected. I hold you with compassion and tenderness to calm your feelings. I pray that together we make more love in this world. I pray that another door be open to us. A… Continue

New Beginning

My friend Sarita and I met some people involved with spiritual matters. Sarita sat with a guy from a local tribe who did a Reiki style healing for her. I sat off to the side as he moved his hands above and around her body.

From there we eventually walked past another guy who came up from behind us. He rubbed my back and told me personal things that were true. He did the same for Sarita. He explained that he had died and came back with his spirit guides.

He said I was a… Continue

Continuation

I entered kindergarten not knowing what to expect. This was my first day away from my freedom to wander. The half day morning session was filled with interactions between the teacher and the little kids being told what to do.

It must have been okay because when Mom put me out in the afternoon I went back to school. This did not go well with the teacher since the afternoon was for a different class. Mom was called to pick me up.

School was not for learning. It was grooming… Continue

More

The sweet pleasure of dwelling in God’s house is beyond measure. This is a place of transcendence. Words are void and without meaning. Light and Love fill the unbounded whole of this singularity.

As a baby, fresh from the clutch of mother’s nurture, I was placed in the crib to sleep. On this sleep path I arrived at a state of pure being. Rather than falling into the sleep state, I was gifted with a visit to the place of Creation.

Pure awareness of Love and Light. No… Continue
