We engage teachers and students in meaningful project learning exchanges with people around the world to develop literacy and communication skills, foster teamwork and collaboration, encourage workforce preparedness and create multi-cultural understanding. We prepare youth for full participation as productive and effective citizens in an increasing global economy.

In addition to being voted a top ten educational web site five years in a row, Global SchoolNet has received significant awards, including: NII Award; Internet World Award; and the Webby Award. GSN's "Harnessing the Power of the Web" CD-ROM was distributed by Microsoft to over 500,000 teachers around the world as part of the original NetDay.
