myself, my feelings to the outside surrounding me is to know me and help me to know you. "I am what I am and that's all I am" to quote a famous cartoon character.
A message came to me this morning as a result of an event which happened yesterday. That message has been with me for many years now. I did voice it but only to feel rebuke which sent me back to my cocoon; a very familiar feeling I must say.
The event that happened to me yesterday was something very simple yet very powerful. I was talking to my neighbour/owner Lisa where I rent. As we were talking over the fence a pair of eagles interrupted us. They were dancing in the sky, turning, gliding and as they both came closer they swooped with such a force that we were able to hear the wind being forced behind their wings. Me and Lisa just looked at one another in total amazement and a "wow" came out pretty well at the same time out of our mouths. That sound I called "freedom" ...
To be truly immerse in gratitude, to feel it as far down in my soul I saw many years ago how I had to be grateful for my senses. To be able to hear, to be able to see and smell and touch are to me the very basic elements of who I am and as a result who I project myself to be. And who I project myself to be is related to what I see and hear and smell and touch. The trick in all of that is how present in the moment I am. The trick is to let what I see, hear, smell, touch around me make its way from my head to my heart then to my soul. The more I do that the clearer my "circle" becomes. Not the circle from the head to the heart and to the soul but the circle being born in going back to being grateful for the very basics I was born with.
