I have just read Red Earth:  White Lies by Vine Deloria Jr.  I loved it!  I've had many brilliant friends in the academic world and had them tell me the same things.  They weren't Native, but had paid the price to make true friends with others who were.  They said that the academic world is really pretty restrictive and lacking in wisdom.  There is so much to learn, its a shame we have to chop every part of it into pieces like a stew.  My friend said, we will get farther…

Educational gap is closing

Our school district is one of two to meet the state requirements to close the diversity gap between our ethnic and non-ethnic students.  They have all worked so hard and we are so proud of them!
