Peace Week- at online, telephone

September 14, 2010 to September 21, 2010
The dream of a peaceful world has been with us for millennia. Are we the generation that will make that dream a reality? In the years ahead, we have the opportunity to help wean the world of its addiction to violence by harnessing best practices, deepening our personal commitments, healing ancient wounds, building bridges between cultures, advancing the science of peace, and teaching our children to live peacefully. In fact, most of the “technologies” for creating peace at all levels of society…See More

Stolen at Harvard Exit Theater Seattle

June 5, 2010 from 9:15pm to 11:30pm
Indigenous Bolivian Violeta Ayala, whose father was exiled to Australia, teams up with partner Dan Fallshaw to reveal the truth about modern slavery in North Africa through the brilliant and harrowing documentary film "Stolen," which was shot at hazard to all concerned. The film shows the passion against this injustice that was ignited by the articulate and beautiful young black women slaves who spoke out about their plight without regard to the consequences. As Ayala quoted at the post-film…See More

Dear Beth,
Wading through old e-mails and found that I had not responded to your invitation. I apologize for the delay!! By 1/30 I was pretty well tied in knots about the upcoming election, which results were known on 2/3. So I am now a Global Trustee for URI North America to the Global Council, as well as being on the Leadership Council for URI NoAm. And it has been a busy season!
I let Carol know, and then have tried to get in contact with the Native Elders group so I could post their March gathering on the URI list-serv, but they haven't sent anything that I can transfer over.
Peace to you and yours, Anne
