I am new and happy to be learning all of my life. My interests include natural wild crafting of plants for food and medicine, living fully and organically,  art making for healing, and "Native Cases." This exciting project is at http://nativecases.evergreen.edu/   Very exciting work.

Request to Learning & Design Circle for "Anchor" Four World (with Earthtech & Wallking The Red Road Councils

?
A Proposal: Four World Councils “Heritage Ambassador Team” for Native Am Community
Festivals at NC/PA/MD/VA Geography with a Children’s Festival add-on ?

Today, I did a quick internet search in my Virginia community to see
how many “Native American Community Festivals” takes place in our
region ! I must say I am startled at

The amazing strong interest in “Native American’ cultures in our
region on a community level, as evidenced by more than 20 such events
I identified taking place each year now !.

Just to give you a feel for what is happening now here, even in places
there are no Native Americans, either pow-wow or “Native Flute Music’
or some other forms of Native
American festivals are taking place every year here.

It’s amazing to me that in Virginia, there are no more Cherokees any
longer. They did live here once in history. Yet, today, I found
several Cherokee Festivals taking place here in Virginia where there
are still 8 state recognized remnant Native American tribes ?

Question: Should we not talk about sending a “Four World Heritage
Amassador Team” from our existing councils, focusing particularly on a
“Native Am Children’s Festival’ add-on
to at least some of these community event starting 2011 ?

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

Hello Learning Circle folks. I have joined the circle. I'm a member of a number of Ning networks, so fairly familiar with the platform. If you want to follow my boring twitter feed, I'm rowanf. It is nice to be connected.

Can we use this area/council to share Learning about more than just the website? I think Four Worlds may have more wisdom for the rest of the nation/world as the old societal structures of Church and Empire crumble before the coming of the Age. With the U.S. in obvious transition, there is an opportunity to bring forward some of what was lost in old conquest mentalities.

I think that the internet has increased my levels of understanding of people beyond what would have been possible for me to achieve in any other way. I have been exposed to ideas and cultures I could never have imagined just a few years ago. It has truly transformed my world view and motivated me to go inward to examine pre conceived notions about what is and what can be.
